     Our purpose here at Gardener’s Harvest is to help you enjoy your garden long after it is at rest.  Everyone enjoys the fresh fruits and vegetables of the season, but why head back to the grocery store for hothouse produce after the gardening season is over.

 

 

 

 

     When I look back on the entire gardening season, the soil preparation, planting, thinning, weeding, and praying for a good crop, I also remember being able to pluck a cuke or tomato right off the vine.  You can’t get any fresher than that.  I like knowing that what I eat is not full of chemicals that I cannot pronounce, nor coated with some food grade paraffin.

 

  

 

 

 

     A well-stocked pantry with your home-grown goodness tastes better and costs less than what you can get in a store bought can.  When I see my shelves laden with home canned fruits and vegetables, jars of dried foods, homemade convenience foods, and my freezer filled with summers bounty, I know that I’ve been blessed.
